Permitting Advocacy

Permitting is a schedule problem before it is a legal one. A project that clears every substantive test can still lose a year to a sequencing decision made early and never revisited. We work the federal, state, and local approvals together, and we start from the timetable.

Three tracks, usually run in parallel rather than in sequence.

Federal Permitting Strategy (NEPA, FAST-41)

The decisions that set the clock: lead agency, class of action, the scope of the environmental review, which agencies come in as cooperating, and whether the project qualifies for FAST-41 coverage. We build that strategy and manage the interagency engagement that keeps a review on its timetable.

Permitting Dashboard Engagement

Projects listed on the Federal Permitting Dashboard get a published schedule and a working relationship with the Permitting Council. We prepare the initiation package, negotiate the coordinated project plan, and manage milestone performance — including escalation when an agency slips.

Local Entitlement Advocacy

Zoning, special use, site plan, and utility approvals are decided by councils and boards that answer to neighbors. We run the local strategy — staff engagement, community outreach, hearing preparation, and the public record — so the local track does not become the one that stops the project.
